Rosneft, NIOC sign $30 bln oil, gas road map with Iran

TEHRAN, Nov 1 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Rosneft and National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) have signed a U.S. $30 billion road map to produce up to 55 million tonnes of oil and natural gas in Iran, Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin told reporters on Wednesday.

“This document allows us to sign binding documents on implementation of specific projects in the sphere of oil and gas production very soon. Through this we create a platform for strategic cooperation,” he said.

Rosneft will produce oil and gas at many fields together with Iranian partners, he said.

The plans also include swap operations, supplies of oil and oil products, upgrading of oil refining, and training, he added.
